Why 20 MB
Gmail allows about 25 MB for an attachment. Outlook allows about 20 MB. A file of 20 MB fits both.
Email adds some size when it sends a file. So a target a little under the limit is safer.
Check the limit of your own email service. The limit can change.
Long videos
A short video fits in 20 MB more easily. A long video needs a lower resolution.

Questions
What is the size limit for an email attachment?
It is about 20 to 25 MB for Gmail and Outlook. Check the limit of your own email service.
Why does this page use 20 MB and not 25 MB?
Outlook allows less than Gmail, and email adds some size to a file. A target of 20 MB is safer.
Can I send a bigger video by email?
You can type a bigger size in the Target size field. Or send a link to the video from a file sharing service.
Will the picture look worse?
A smaller file has less data, so the picture can look softer. Auto picks a resolution that keeps the picture as clean as it can.
