How to use it

Fast (no quality loss) copies the video and the sound. It does not encode them again, so it is quick and the picture does not change.

With Fast, a cut snaps to the nearest key frame. The start and the end can move by a little.

Exact encodes the part again, so a cut falls on the time you typed. It takes longer. It makes an MP4 file with H.264 video and AAC sound.

Fast keeps the type of your file when it is MP4, MOV, M4V, WebM or MKV. For any other type, it makes an MP4 file.

Exact always makes an MP4 file.

A phone can use a file up to 250 MB. Other devices can use a file up to 1 GB.

The page downloads the video engine the first time you pick a video. It is 32 MB, and your browser keeps it for next time.

Not with Fast. It copies the video as it is. Exact encodes the part again, so it can lose a very small amount of detail.

A copied video can start only at a key frame. The page uses the key frame nearest to your time. Choose Exact for a cut on the exact time.
