Compress a video for Discord
Discord limits the size of a file that you upload. The limit for a free account is 10 MB for each file.
This page opens with a target size of 10 MB. Pick your video and press Compress. The file never leaves your device.
Or drop a video file here.
How to use it
- Choose your video file, or drop it on the box.
- Keep the target size of 10 MB. You can change it.
- Press Compress. Wait until the bar reaches 100%.
- Press Download. Then upload the new file in Discord.
About the Discord limit
Discord can change its limits. Check the limit in the Discord app before you upload.
A paid plan has a higher limit. If you have one, you can type a bigger size in the Target size field.
Short clips work best
A clip of a few seconds fits in 10 MB with a clean picture. A long clip needs a lower resolution.
Choose Remove sound if the clip does not need sound. This leaves more room for the picture.
Other free tools for files
